I have been wanting a decent knife for the lottie for ages now. I wanted one that would slice through thick brassica stalks and pare off the damaged leaves for composting. My lovely fella has just had one of these hand made for my prezzie.

Clck on the link and scroll down the page to see my gorgeous leather handled Bowie knife. Mine has a six inch blade.

Fingers crossed for you Newbie....and enjoy the peace whilst it lasts!!!

There you are Aberdeenplotter - The 1928 model is top left. - middle left late 50's bottom left 1948 (aluminium body) Top right 1950, middle right 50's and bottom right 1960's de luxe model.

The 1928 is interesting in that the body was made in Germany by Fritz Howalt Company and the blade is Rolcut Sheffield steel.
