What tomatoes are we growing in 2012?

I've never tried any of them so i've no idea what to expect.

I have lots to choose from thanks to the tomato seed swap but I'm planning on the following:
Purple Cherokee - always my favourite
Gardeners Delight - grown outside climbing up ivy and pretty much left to fend for itself
Santini - saved from some M&S tomatoes and no idea how they'll turn out so a bit of an experiment
Maja - Swedish heirloom bush tomato that I'll grow in pots
Sungold - well, the seeds were only 20p from T&M so worth a go
Blue OSU - more out of curiosity than anything
Green Velvet - sounds absolutely gorgeous
Tumbling Tom - for the hanging baskets ;o)

Another Brandywine convert here. Grew 'Pink Brandywine' this year and enjoyed eating them...........very late maturing though.
If I can afford the seed at the time I may go with AP and grow Cedrico having grown the F2 version this year. (plants grown from last years toms) I always grow a couple of plants of Gardeners Delight to nibble at the allotment and always a plum type (San Marzano were rubbish this year so looking for a replacement next year..)

I wouldn't mind trying a purple/blue one..

In the seed parcel I see that there's:

Blue OSU, Black Brandywine (doesn't look black though?) and Purple Cherokee (few other black ones too, but these ones stand out).

Any recommendations? I think I'd like to grow some outside.

Tamina for me for sure. Nice fruit, tolerant to cold and frost, and unripe tms make a nice chutney. I'd like to find a reliable outdoor cherry tom to feed to our children - suggestions welcome!

Having tried literally dozens of varieties I find these 4 varieties cover all requirements, are bomb proof and prolific and can ALL be left to grow a la bush style if time is short.

I grew Roma as a plum and they were lovely. Late maturing but made lots of lovely passata. I thought SM were supposed to be the best tasting? I have never tried them though. If you want Roma seeds pm me.

Growing a few dwarf bush toms for a wee experiment. Will also be growing a few bush tomato plants in pots - Togi, Maja and fingers crossed Golden Grape from HSL. Will grow OSU Blue, Orange Fleshed Purple Smudged, Pink Ping Pong, Violet Jasper, PW French Black, Depp's Pink in the greenhouse (possibly a couple more).

all the black/blue ones, and a few others. Too many bits of material hanging round so i can't get the seeds out too, I'd lose them..
