Don't forget, before you rush off and buy new seed we're putting together a big seed parcel, currently there are 159 tomato entries in it!

The majority mentioned here are in it

Fingers X there are some PW's french black in there, Chris! I had a little packet and when I checked the packet was empty!!! Erk - I must have sown them and lost them!
I will try the white oxheart I saved from last year but only if Binley lets me know that these are not the secret variety she won't try again!

Quite a few of the above; Maja bush is recommended, Purple Russian is fab, PWFB's natch, sungold probably just because, TOGI bush, Kenilworth was brilliant this year. And Maskotka just because it's so prolific.

I'm dropping for good; Costoluto - just too fiddly and the skin too tough for me...and the fiddliness of the shape means you can't peel the thing. GGRRRR.

Whatever you DO grow, may I recommend making some home made mozzarella and eating fresh Mozz sandwiched inbetween 2 halves of a freshly picked tom. Now't like it.

That sounds amazing. I've got some rennet on the way, can't wait to try some homemade cheeses.

I think I saw 'french black', so I assume that they must be PW's!

Infact, I think you even sent them me!!!

            Infact, you did!!!!!!

Considering not bothering with Tomatoes for me next year, will still do some for my parents but they just dont get used enough in my household as only my son has them as salsa. My parents like the traditional Gardneners delight and I might slip a sungold or beefsteak in there as well for them to try.

in 201(1 I vowed not to do toms again as blight was so awful, yet am addicted and so VERY excited to receive lots of exciting tom seeds in my virtual seed parcel packet today...thanks to all who sent in such good 'uns.
am determined to discover some unexpected blight-resister. Do any of you have any suggestions? My rogue saviour was my beloved Broadripple Yellow Currant, luckily as don't fancy changing name to Koralik. what were yours?

So far (and I really don't need any more) I have:
Amish Paste (went great in GH last year)

and new this year for me,
                              Rali Toms (Real Seeds)
                              Purple Ukraine
                              Yellow Pear
                              Green Zebra
                              Marmande

and perhaps most interestingly I've saved some Moruno seeds from a pack that I bought from Tesco cos they looked nice. Since saving them I've found various web stories linking them with being superfoods and reducing cancer. So will be interesting to see how they perform (not expecting any miracles).
The more help a man has in his garden, the less it belongs to him.

Never grown them before so will experiment with some free seeds I received in magazines etc..

                                So these will be:
                                Roma
                                Tamina
                                Yellow Stuffer
                                Sweet Baby
.....and I think I might order some F1 Tumbler based on feedback..

All comments welcome for a beginner....
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

                                ...utterly nutterly
