GYO Resolution for 2012 - what's your's?

To get parsnips to germinate for the first time ever...I hope.

Like TS and RL - not to sow too much especially toms and peppers. Leads to a lot of breathing in when entering the greenhouse

Not too grow more plants than I have room for............I say it every year though

Not to sow as many tomatoes and chillies - there isn't enough room in the greenhouse.

I use a dynamo thingy on Wilko's white plastic sticks now but used to use a laundry pen and it didn't wash off. Hope that helps

Save seeds, swap them, and spread the word further of The dirty shovel club.

Make the most of my little veggie patch. Try, learn and use my knowledge effectively. To not get disheartened. For every tomato plant that ceases to exist, there are chillies that go red because it seemed a good idea at the time.

And to think about what I sow, as fulfilling its potential. If no one is going to eat something, why sow it? Pfft, yeah right....

Thanks VVG. I used to use a laundry marker and it was good - I'd almost forgotten that. Then I tried the "proper" seed labelliing pens and they are totally useless. I had a chinagraph pencil too once, that was OK but a bit smudgy. I'm also mean so the thought of buying a Dymo thingy just for seed tray labels doesn't really appeal. I want to write on old yoghourt pots cut into strips - you get the picture!!
I must find a laundry pen again methinks!

I get all the grandkids to save their lolly sticks, nice and easy to write on and find a biro does the trick.

Thanks F2V. Don't think I can manage grandkids somehow, definitely not before the next planting season. Will have to rummage in the litter bins or eat lots of lollies myself.

I use a 3B pencil on mine - that doesn't rub/ wear off - even after a couple of years!
My resolution? To get more into the rhythm of picking stuff and cooking with it - instead of leaving it too late and then having to chuck stuff away!

I just use the white labels with a pencil - 99% success rate [so far]. The main problem is them disappearing rather than being able to be read.

My GYO resolution - to net more stuff. Peas & brassicas mainly.

Pencil on white plastic garden labels does it for me, which reminds me I have a plantpot full in need of scrubbing clean ready for the new season.

My resolution not to grow so many tomato plants. like thats going to happen.

I have used biro, pencil and chinagraph. All smudged but I put mine on the allotment as row/variety markers. I need rain proof. The dynamo thingy is Mr VVG's or was until I stole it...mwahahahahaha
