Mine would be Pentland Javelin they seem to do well in buckets as well as in the ground.
        Location....East Midlands.

For me it has to be Lady Christl...the only one that gives that perfect new potato flavour in my soil. Can also be left to grow.

I've tried the super earlies like Rocket and Swift and found the taste very disappointing.

By planting in containers in the greenhouse at the end of Feb I harvested my first new potatoes on 29th April this year, something I'll be doing again as long as we don't get severe frosts at that time.

Ulster Prince - they don't seem to mind a bit of drought as much as the others I've tried, which is handy the way our Springs have been recently. They're also a great flavour and a nice, slightly waxy, texture. Ulster Sceptre aren't bad either.

nobody's put down Accent - tried this year, and the only first early that so far has come even close to my favourite of all time which is Duke of York (Red Duke of York too - and they're second earlies, strictly speaking, so you can leave them to mature in the ground for later eating).

Also tried Foremost this year - yuck, yuck and yuck again. Ditto Sharpe's Express - tasteless.

I think taking into account comments on here, I will go
                  Amorosa
                  Arran Pilot
                  Lady Christl
                  Ulster Sceptre

Well i'm gonna out in a vote for Annabelle's. Grew them last year. Good yield, trouble free and simply the most delicious potato I have ever tasted. Only wish I had grown more as my crop had gone within a fortnight. this year, i'm going to start them off at fortnightly intervals to give me a steady supply.
