I am following Garden Organic list - I thought it was a new potato but...Googled and listed on several sites as an early maincrop.

I dont have much experience with maincrops but if I had to only choose one it would be lady balfour or one of the sarpo miras
(which arent on the list)

Desiree does well for me.

I usually grow Desiree and Roosters main crop but this year I'm going with Desiree and Majestic as my main crop..

Can I suggest we vote on the poll rather than list, unless the variety isn't there. I love hearing what is liked and why but I can't see what is romping ahead...

This was the first year I grew main crop so tried a few different ones .....king eddies were rubbish also tried majestic and pentland crown ...to be honest wasn't really impressed with any but that may have been down to the weather .....

Desiree if I had only one but I did grow Harlequin this year. Taste was good but yields were small.
