Dear Mr Man in the moon,
forgive me for I have sinned . Today I sowed some carrots not on a root day . My excuse is I was at the lottie in the gh with a bed of fresh virgin compost and it needed to be done there and then ........In an effort to redeem myself I came home and potted on eight tomato plants ......S*d the housework I have a lottie to dig
a batch of jam is always an act of creation ..Christine Ferber

Bins, you are not alone in the confessional, for I too have sinned and come short of the glory which is the Lunar cycle. I noticed that the out of date spinach seeds which I had sown had not germinated, and, since I was abandoning them for a few days, decided to resow with fresh seed (on a root day). As I did it I knew I was sinning, but I could not help myself. the urge overcame me and I was powerless.
I promise that I shall be on my knees tomorrow, prostrating myself, in an effort to find the tomato seeds which I know are at the bottom of the cupboard, and will sow them, as tomorrow is another fruit day. Please look kindly upon me and upon my seeds, and upon Binley's seeds and upon all those who sow and plant in the name of the Moon.

Rushed off to Chepstow to chase the English back over the bridge and now ready to calmly plant my leaves just wondering how early I dare go with some of them! I really like how laid back this all feels, didn't do it today? no probs got tomorrow or the day after.......
I'm not doing trials but the broad beans I planted on a bio day by mistake took forever to come up. Hang in there VVG (How much experience do you need to drop the first V? )"A life lived in fear is a life half lived."
PS. I just don't have enough time to say hello to everyone as they join so please take this as a delighted to see you here!

I like that first V and I'm keeping it - cheeky
I am actually settling into the Synodic pattern now and have enjoyed the week of getting to tackle non seed sowing tasks. I too am finding synodic sown are up and away better than bio sown. I will be bringing my kinsmen soon and we will meet you on the bridge for teaLook deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better...Albert Einstein

What a great day; two lots of basil and two lots of coriander in the spare snake tank getting very hot; two sorts of spring cabbage type, rocket, rainbow chard and perpetual spinach in getting warm (two days on a heat pad then just the window) rocket (just on the window ledge) and; calibrese (aquilla) cauliflower and lots of lettuce just in the tunnel. Cleared a fairly sizeable chunk of the disgusting grass an weeds that are destined to be an outdoor garden sometime soon as well so pretty pleased. I have decided to put most of it under membrane and plant through it. If I do this I can risk rotovating it to give me something to plant into as well.

Thanks Zaz - didn't want to leave it until Sunday as the seed swap may be non existent by then. What evidence of HSL membership do you have to bring, do you know? I only have the catalogue and letter.Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better...Albert Einstein
