  • I was going to give moon planting a try this year but am not sure which of the three methods to try. I have a whole load of tomato and pepper seeds that I was going to pop in the garland heated propogator I treated myself to. I have read on one site that they are considered a fruit and the next day for planting them is next Sunday. Are aubergines also considered a fruit?

    • I'm trying Biodynamic as it seems the most flexible to me. As you say the next fruit day will be Tuesday 31st according to the calendar I am following Moon calendar astrology - free chart online
Peppers, aubergines and tomatoes are all fruit.
I'm enjoying the regime as it makes me think about what can be done each day and gives my gardening time a structure.

      • Tomatoes are fully up (apart from the three no shows), lavenders are fully up, little gem lettuces on kitchen windowsill have germinated (thank you to the Virtual Seed Parcel).

        Peppers sown yesterday. (Following biodynamic).

Think I am going to hold off sowing anything else until February now.

              • Kohl Rabi is leaf. Turnip would smack root to me, but others say leaf or root! What are you wanting it for? Roots/leaves/both?

Thanks, I thought KR would be leaf so I'm going to go with turnip as leaf, too even though I'll be growing for the "root" (but what I have a feeling is swollen stem like KR).
