As far apart as you can Shirl. Swift is a suppersweet (I think) variety and it's affected if it is cross pollenated.

Cheers Nick - but how far do I really need them - my garden is 90 foot long - does it need to be that far or is 10 foot enough?

We're going to try growing both normal and mini corns this year - first time we've tried growing either, but since getting the allotment we've gone a bit mad

I read in the Grow Your Own Veg book that normal corn should be planted in blocks to allow the male flowers at the top to shake down the pollen to the female flowers lower down the plants.

However, baby corn varieties should be planted in rows, as you don't want the pollunation to occur. Does this sound right to other grapes?

We're planning on trying the 3 Sisters planting if the beans and squashes grow too.
