Especially when they all come running out whilst eyeing up daughter's metallic nail polish on your toes as you have stuck flip flops on for quickness! Peck peck ouch!

lol! I wasn't wearing flip flops so my toes were fine - but they get right in under the spade (we have six) it takes about four times as long to dig.

I planted some onion seeds, set my shallots into modules so they have a head start when I plant them up the lottie, and potted up my saved amaryllis bulbs from last year. The temperature in the greenhouse was 16c, so perhaps the onions seeds will germinate quickly.
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

My big gardening job today started at 12-05pm. It took the first five minutes of opening time to get two pints of beer. A friend and I then sat down with the seed catalogues, pen & paper and started on our list. I am glad to report that though we had to struggle for nearly two hours and drink three pints each the list is now complete.

..managed to move almost everything yesterday. Just the compost heap... well it's too valuable to leave.

Oh and I will transplant some more leeks as it's so mild. They are still very small and should come to somthing.

I am very tempted by the GC sales but have an appointment with little granddaughter and a Monopoly board.
Whether you think you can or whether you think you can't, you are probably right.
