confused about carrots

    Thanks all, off tomorrow to get some value compost, apparently half price at local garden centre. Found a couple of bags of building sand behind the garage too (left by the previous owners) so it's all going on the beds tomorrow. Cheers!

      I thought debris netting had to large a hole for carrots and it also has large tie holes every 4in for the cable ties to hold it to the scaffolding

        You're right, but it's the best thing I have at the mo (I sewed up the large central holes on the sewing machine)


        I'm saving up for enviromesh, but bills keep getting in the way

          I used the large holes to make the net wider by joining two and three together with the cheap cable ties from the pound shop.The cable ties last a lot longer than tying string to each hole
