Can't remember when I sowed them,
But I trained it to go up and over the window, and it was half way back.
Being honest, didn't think it would work but had to have a go.
Plus if it had, it would have looked good (in my eyes )

Oh, did not affect the dog in any way. Bless her

:O there are just too many things to grow! Just as well I won't have any more space left in my greenhouse this year...

Something else I aint tried yet loofah, along with vegetable spaghetti which I also fancy a go at. I grow Jersey kale for the chooks but the stems alway fininish up like Yoda's stick i.e massive at top and skinny at bottom!
My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)

Well, bugger me. I never thought they were natural for some reason.

Bath time will never be the same again, Chris. Just remember, even a very old, dried-out loofah will swell in water!

have grown these before, planted seeds saved from 1999 last year with a 100 percent germination rate, but like everyone else they grew poorly in what was laughingly described as summer last year, seeds are easy to save however, just put your mature loofah in the airing cupboard to dry out then after 2-3 months peel off the now dry skin and shake out the seeds from the now skeletonised loofah,if you have a storage problem the loofahs can be pressed flat between blotting /newspaper using an iron then filed away.I'm also told you can eat small loofahs like courgettes though i've never tried
don't be afraid to innovate and try new things
