Pleased to hear about the Raspberry canes as I bought some yesterday and was not sure if they would be any good as so cheap I also bought lots of other bits and bobs netting and frost blankets etc, thought they were a real bargin. I bought potato and onion there last year and they were excellent.

Hi, I bought some, but when I opened them to have a look, the quality was awful, very small seeds, the beans etc very mishapen and many with mould on. So just be a bit careful and would advise not to use them as the only stock in case they dont germinate. Their garden bits and bobs are fab though and brilliant value.
I buy many seeds on Ebay, and have had loads of success with them adn great buys. There are lots of seed merchants on their that do Allotment collections etc. I recently bought 36 packets for £9.00 and they are just fantastic. (always check the ratings though!)
Happy seed hunting.... nearly sowing time . My kids are getting excited!!

Wifey picked up 2 x 300g packs of shallots, 3 by 6m x 1.5m netting, 1.5m cloche and a rockery seed collection all for the princely sum of £7

Take them back ~ you're within your rights to do so. Even though they were only a pound, they should still be of merchantable quality, ie sound seeds.

Took them back, and very happily accepted a refund. Counter-man said there had been loads returned and lots of complaints due to mould/poor quality seed. So word of warning to all out there, don't rely on them as your only seeds. (not that I think anyone would , knowing how easy it is to acquire many many more seeds than can be used in a lifetime let alone a season.
