Yes they are slightly more expensive. And I know they are an FI but I find I can save and use the seed for about 2/3years before I have to buy new and I get 4/5 kgs per plant so many in fact that this year I have cut down to just two Tumbler to go with my Sungold and the new heritage vareities I am trying.

So far I've found 3 varieties that Grumpy and one of the boys will eat. I'm still looking for something that the last one is happy with and if I don't find it this year I'll definitely be looking for new varieties next year, but I won't be buying any more toms to sow this year.
I normally get my seeds during the half price sales, or when I have a big enough wishlist from a particular supplier to justify the postage and packing (Tight? moi? Sirrah, that is a foul canard!)
The problem with rounded personalities is they don't tesselate.
I grew Venus last year (picked up a pack of seeds in a 50p bargain bin at a garden centre) and I liked it. It's super compact, no more than 20cm, and produced little tart yellow tomatoes all summer long with no fuss at all.
