Oh no, panic stations!
I just had an email from a seed company, trying to panic people into buying their seeds potatoes.
"HURRY – LAST CHANCE TO ORDER!
It’s time to plant First Early Potatoes NOW! Order today and we’ll deliver them to you within 7 – 10 days so you can plant them straight away!"
If I hadn't already got mine, I'd be more inclined to be running to the nearest seed potato stockist so I could get them in the ground tomorrow rather than waiting 7-10 days reading the above.
As it is, mine will remain chitting for a couple more weeks, although I might take my thermometer up the lottie and see what sort of temperature the soil is now.I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!
Now a little Shrinking Violet.

We've planted our first potatoes of the year today, a experimental 3 bags of swift ( a bag each as we're having a comp to see who can grow the harvested yield) in the greenhouse on half plot.
Fingers crossedChris

I love Swift they are so early. CS if you want a little cheat, if the haulms look good at week six give them a dose of tomorite or other potash rich food. That will help swell the tubers.
