I don't like it as a medium, personally. It's very dry but is OK for improving a clay soil I guess. It is a by-product of the coconut industry, and tends to be shipped not flown. You can get a LOT on a ship because it's so light (uses less fuel per mile travelled than, say, bags of peat, or ... wine).

Yes I think I agree with less fuel to the mile, however its a lot of miles traveled and when you see the exhaust from some of these trampers it makes you wonder if they are still burning coal.
