Broad Beans under cover - help with pollination?

My over wintered broad beans are coming into flower in the polytunnel even though they are a bit short. (I assume the tropical temperatures last week have confused themm although it's back to more typical temps now.) Having read some of the threads about empty pods and really not having any obvious quantity of insects in the tunnel should I hand pollinate? If so at what point in the flowering cycle and what's the best method?

Broad beans are self-pollinating ... I've said this before but "nobody" believed me

Therefore, lighting "buzzing" or shaking the plants will do the job

Well I believe you! I knew they were self pollinating and I assumed they needed insects which is why I asked. Thanks.
