So excited pulled my first crop of early new potaoes todayfrom the polytunnel, mixed sizes but many a good size, going to have for my tea . This is my first year wonder if I will feel the same next year.
Well done Kittykat. When did you plant them and which part of the country are you in. You'll sure enjoy them, and yes, you will feel the same next year.
From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.
I am in camborne cornwall the weather has been been really mild I think I planted 2nd week february but could have been 1st or rd, they were lady crystal, the person who recommended these dig his today and said were not as big.
it is really werid I seem to been growing loads of stuff when I was told it was not possible as I did not start plant things until november. i put it down to the mild weather. I have been in my tunnel in just a teashirt in January
Twenty degrees here today Kittykat, but not as mild during the winter and early spring as Cornwall. I was born and grew up in South Devon, near Plymouth, so frosts were never as much of a problem as they are here in east Anglia. You've done really well with your potatoes though, generally reckon 3 months from planting to harvest.

The closer to nature I become the more alive I am!
I have a allotment down at Eastern lane camborne there is a waiting list but it seems to down quickley at times, if you are interested I could give you the mobile of the person who allocates the plots. If you would like to meet and come for a visit first i could show you around.
