Have premiere that I planted on St Pats day - traditi0nal outdoor spud planting day here. Thirsty work!!. Haulms looking in great condition despite dry spell but still looking at mid june before lifting. Maybe try a few end May though as i have 3 dozen first earlies similar 2nd earlies and bout 60 maincrop. Lot for a single bloke - amazing how many friends you have tho at harvest time.

            hello,

I'm new to the site, and i am currently looking at getting an allotment.
And was wondering if you have the details of the allotments on eastern lane, as i would be interested in getting one there - i live on the row of houses just up from the allotments. Would be greatful if anyone could help.

            Thanks
            Naomi

Blummin 'eck, I haven't even planted mine out yet!? Well done.

Doubtful the feeling of excitement will wane, mine hasn't yet and I'm about a year into it.

              Keep up the good work.

                Welcome, hallnaomiuk

This is an ancient thread!...Amazing to see the comparison with last season though.

I hope that you are able to find a plot. There is another allotment finder forum on here try posting on that by starting a new thread. (at the top of the page)

LOL - it made me panic for a moment too - I'm just off to the lottie to plant the 1st ones.

hallnaomiuk - Hi there & welcome. As Paulottie says have a look on the Allotment Finder part of this site & if there are no recent threads about allotments in your area start a new one. Also, look at your local council's website, or give them a ring. Best of luck!

Even so, ancient or not, I thought mid April was really early for a crop of tatties??! .. Dont think mine will be plantd out for a coupla weeks yet, judging by the cold wet soil yesterday?!

Well done you! That sounds very impressive, planted in early Feb and harvesting from start of April (okay April tomorrow). Just as well you took the risk to start early but with polytunnel, you do have the upperhand............sometimes I wonder if it's worth me bothering with GYO without a polytunnel as you can tell, I'm a very impatient person.
