  • Shade loving plants?

    Hiya,

The fence along the right of my garden casts a shadow (I think it is south facing) I am going to try and reflect more light into the area by painting the coal store white and errecting some outdoor mirrors or something. On a normal bright day the area is not in complete darkness but it never gets direct sunlight.

When I moved into the garden (I mean House) there were shrubs growing there so It can't be that bad. Can anyone advise me of veggies that will grow in a shady spot?

Not growing anything to eat is not an option.

    Thanks guys!!

Thanks two sheds. I googled the bottom link you put on. Did not realise so much would grow in the shade. Do you have any experience of growing in the shade?

Only ornamentals. My veg plot is in full sun ~ it's essential for stuff like strawberries, kidney beans, sweetcorn and pumpkins
