Help, what is that on my beanpoles?

Hi all,
Hope you are all getting some time with the vege! I managed a few hours the other day inbetween work/study and children. BUT when I looked at my beanpoles that have been stored outside, they mostly have a strange black powder type covering on them.
Is this some kind of fungus/disease, and if I use them am I likely to infect the peas/beans?

Sooty mould by the sound of it.........bleach solution will probably clean it methinks!

Boiling water and a good scrub would probably work just as well!

Now, why did that happen.... yes solar flares or lunar wains... but anyway it ( J.e.y.e.s) fluid is very good for all things of a disinfectant nature. And thank you all for your help. I am desperate to get on with things at my allotment but am chained to my computer at the moment, just finishing off my dissertation. If only it were on horticulture, then I would be happy
