Yep I just had a look & you could slip in some real profanities,I think though that between having decent Moderator's & mostly sensible members (all of who have access to the report button) any offensive language would soon disappear
On a forum that I administered for several years the filter was handy,any "colourful" language was converted into "I look silly swearing" & lazy typing like using Xmas in place of Christmas was auto corrected after entry into the filter.

Might be done to prevent advertising "bot" from banner spam,given that it is no longer claimed to be the panacea it used to be.That said 'tis not really a biggie RL,just substitute a mis-spelt version so long as the pronounciation is right call it Jayz Fluid
