  • spacing for peas in guttering

I plant to start peas off in guttering and would be pleased if some one could give me the correct spacing required for sowing.
    Thanks.

I put them a couple of inches apart along the length of the guttering and two in the other direction.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

As per the packet, as you'll just be sliding them out into the growing space once they've germinated!

I think packets normally say 2-3inch apart, but I just go two/three fingers apart, it's always worked for me

I sow mine about 2" apart but in a staggered arrowhead formation, like so

Just planted out my first gutter full of peas yesterday - roughly 2" apart.....

That's weird, just added a post on my blog about this very subject today. I space them further apart in guttering than in the ground as the germination is usually much better in guttering.
