growing from seed help please

Im currently atempting to grow some vegatable from seeds in cluding, tomatoes, strawberrys, spring onions and sweetcorn... im using a seedling tray with a unheated propagator in my kitchen on windowseal, the temperature is about 20oc....

5 of each was sown and yet i have one ioon that ive had to repot as bit and another onion thats just showing ( why?) my tomatoes always get too leggy and my sweetcorn never grows

I planted about 1 month ago

any tips on what i can do?

its a bit early for sweetcorn and if your toms are leggy theres a lack of light i sown my toms 3 weeks ago in a cold greenhouse and they have been emerging for the last week about 60% up strawberry seeds take ages spring onions sown 3 weeks ago in cold frame just showing

This is what happens when using seed trays - things germinate at different rates and you are left with half empty trays for ages. Use small pots, sow into the pot and label each one and then you can move them about, water them etc as and when each germinates.

What, with everything in one tray? That's not helping you: sow each variety in a separate pot/tray

It might be 20c in daytime, but what is it at night? Right next to the glass it's very cold and tomatoes need a nice even temp of *about* 10c, day and night

I planted about 1 month ago

Sweetcorn is a tender crop and can't go outside until after your last frost. So, you shouldn't sow it until about 3 weeks before your last frost

its a seedling tray with tiny compartments in, at night i take i move it to somewhere warmer as i dont trust cat lol.

my inlaws started their sweetcorn same time as me in same way and they doing well.

They will do well under cover, in the warm. When are you going to put them outside?
