I've been battling the greenfly on my sweet potato plants almost daily, squashing and washing, but I've not been able to clear them. If I miss a day, they come back with a vengence. I don't want to move them to the greenhouse in this state as all my other plants will get affected, and it's still 2-3 weeks too early to plant them out I think.

. I captured 6 ladybirds from the allotment yesterday, and they are now living on my kitchen window sill, munching their way through the greenfly. Last year I did this with some chilli plants, but it was a bit later, so I used lavae then, and even had them hatching out. The ladybirds eventually flew away out of the open window after clearing the aphids
