Interesting point about the mustard crop. Highlights the importance of variety in the gene pool.
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

Managed to miss it as had the digital TV switch over yesterday and my TV decided that channel 2 was now ITV (football, egad!) and BBC2 vanished. Looking forward to catching it on iplayer though - your reviews all look positive!

Didn't watch it as I can't stand the bloke that was hosting it but might have a look on the watch again thingy on V+ as it sounds like it could have been interesting.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I feel the same about his so it looks like I'll be doing a lot of fast forwarding when I watch it.

Beside the annoying presenter (he is not as annoying as some of the Countryfile presenters ie 'humble pie') but it was quiet interesting to learn about the mint and the saffron in the second episode.

I quite like her actually. She lives quite near here and my farmer friend knows her quite well. At least she doesn't spit and make noises when eating like that Our Food host.
