The top picture looks like sun/ wind scorch to me. Did you remember to harden them off in a sheltered spot for a week or so before fully letting them have their fun outside?
The top growth isn't affected as it usually grows when the plant gets used to it's surroundings. A few of my plants got hit by the same thing when this crazy weather hit this week. Simply cut off lower leaves, the plant doesn't really need them anyway.

I'll give that a go and see what happens. Thanks.

Donna, looks like the classic description of magnesium deficiency discolouration between the veins of the leaf.

Keep an eye on it and if the leaves above the affected area start to go the same way that will confirm it.

I thought tomato feed contained all that they needed. I've been feeding them weekly since I noticed the flower buds.

I have 2 other varieties that don't have the same problem even though they have all had the same treatment.

So where do I get magnesium from?

Donna, I would first make sure it is mag deficiency if it is it will start on the lower leaves and move up.

If this proves to be the case cease feeding with standard feeds as this will make the situation worse.

You can make a spray with half ounce of Epsom salts to a pint of water.

Thanks Colin. I can get that from the chemist I think. Years ago, after my first baby went on to formula feed, my mother gave me some in my tea to help dry up my milk. It was totally disgusting.

Needless to say that method went out the window. Hope the toms enjoy it more than I did.
