My manky Oca crop from last year are still out of the ground - but chitting! (not deliberately - I've just found them!!). I bought them this time last year at the RHS show.
Thanks for the reminder Donna - I'll do summat with them now
I read (somewhere, maybe Real Seeds website) Oca do not need much feeding unlike a tattie. The only feed I gave them was some weak comfey tea(when I remembered).
Just had a quick look and on Wikipaedia it states Oca grows in poor soil in the mountains, so......
Hold your horses Chris! I stuck an odd Oca into a houseplant pot (don't ask but it was handy) and its covered in leaves. Wish I'd done the same with the rest of the miserable crop.
