  • Peppers ..... cross pollination?

I usually grow ordinary peppers, California wonder, or something similar in one of my greenhouses. This year I am also growing the Spanish 'Pimiento de Padron'. Will I need to keep them in separate greenhouses to stop them cross-pollinating or doesn't it matter?

Only if you plan on saving the seeds

They do cross pollinate, but like the previous poster said, it will only matter if your saving seeds

        ditto what they ^ said

The fruits you eat this year won't be affected ~ but any you grow on from saved seed may well be mongrels

To be honest I think that California Wonder are one of the worst peppers I've ever grown so pretty much anything else you grow will be better - although of course you might have totally different taste to me

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
