Hi, a while back i planted some tomato seeds 1 to each module. Quite a few of them have grown 2 plants almost sprouting from the same place like twins, I never realised this could happen. They are nearly ready to pot on now and I was wondering if it's worth risking pulling them apart as I'm assuming their roots are quite tangled to get 2 plants from each or just to sacrifice one seedling. Although how you chose between your children I don't know

When this happens I always get rid of one. To prevent root damage I use scissors to snip the seed leaves of the weakest plant.

I'm more tender hearted , I usually water very well, then tease them apart. Most seem to make itI could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

What would happen if you left them and put them in a bigger pot...? Presumably you will get stunted growth and less fruit due to them competing for the same resources...?I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....
...utterly nutterly
