  • Lidl vs Aldi water timers

Lidl have their water timer coming out here this week. Wondering if anyone has one of these and can recommend it? I've been waiting for it. But Aldi usually have one to. Theirs has two hose connections and timers, which I think I'd prefer. Does anyone have one of those?

I bought a Lidl one once and it was terrible, just didn't work at all. Took it back and got my money back in the end. Have a B&Q one instead which works fine as does my bottom of the range one from Hozelock.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I have an Aldi one (as in your link) works fine

There is a warning hidden in the back of the pamphlet that says not to let the batteries go low (there is a warning light on the panel),but there is not an explanation as to why, with most items batteries go flat item does not function bung in some new & off you go.Not so with this unit,if the batteries go flat while in service the Eprom locks itself at partially open & there it will stay, unit is NLS trust me been there got the dead unit moral of the story .... change the batteries immediately before going on holiday & all will be well

That's great, thanks to both of you, Aldi one it is so.
Bearded bloke, I assume it's fine to just take the batteries out when not in use, just don't let them run out while in use, right?
        Thanks a lot

Soz late reply...........Yep,having no batteries installed is not a problem only if they go flat while running a program,so always install new before going on hol's & keep an eye open for a red battery symbol
