  • First tomato

    This took me by surprise my Garden Pearl sown on Feb 13th has its first baby tomato.

            Nice one..my first year growing tomatoes, so I will be happy with even one...anytime..!!
            I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

              Good for you Bren and yes, I am envious.
              I can't put my toms in the greenhouse yet. Still too cold.

              However, in doors where it's nice an warm I have Tamina sown on the 12 Feb with their third truss setting. But then I have been cheating with the use of an artificial sun.
              Sometimes you just have to scratch that itch and get dirt under your finger nails.

                My toms are well travelled they spend their days in the greenhouse then its back into the house at night.

                      My Sweet'n'Neat tomato plant has had a few on it since about 2 weeks ago, it has been outside as well, and growing fine. not in no protection! Its amazing sometimes that plants can survive outdoors

                        I've had some toms out there since Feb, they're behind the others but have survived somehow. One is a blue OSU, looking... erm very blue (purple)

                          My Blue OSU is behind the rest of my other types as well. Maybe it's the variety?
