11l or 18l for tomatoes?

Please help me decide. I grow tomatoes inside the greenhouse and outside on a South facing patio. Over the years I have tried various grow bags, from the prefilled to the filled your own. I have now come to the conclusion that I can't be bothered with the faff and am going to use pots. No Morrisons near here so no flower buckets but have found some reasonably priced ones, either 11 litres or 18 litres. I guess 11l is big enough but would 18l be better or a waste of compost? I've got Gardeners' Delight, Tigerella and Vanessa.

before you buy any,it does not have to be morrisons,try any supermarket most will give you some,also try any florist,example our asda give them away,if none at the flower stall ask,also had some square ones given from tesco

If you do have to buy 11lts is nearly 2 1/2 gallon plenty big enough for toms.

Don't know the capacity but I've often grown then in 10" diameter pots in the past.

Sounds like it's the smaller ones. Perhaps I'll try Sains when I go next. Thanks for help

Flower buckets are the equivalent of 10 litre pots

Thank you that's what I needed to know. 18l is probably overkill.

18l is a good size for potatoes although it's getting a bit late to plant them now if you want to beat the blight.

Potatoes are in the ground and just peeking through! Confirms what I thought though that is unnecessary for toms.
