After confessing on the plantaholic thread I have just counted how many winter squash I have currently germinated (excluding the ones that still might make it)
I have 36. Now suggestions as to where I might plant them?
I've thought maybe between my currant bushes and asparagus might be a possibility? The sweetcorn is already cuddling up to broad beans (under bottle cloches), do you think I might get away with a few there too, bearing in mind the beans are in flower now so might be out before the squash get too big.
You might have realised that I haven't allocated enough space for this number of plants. I only have half a plot, with a third taken up with compost, fruit, shed and asparagus. The problem is, I only planted 2 or 3 seeds of each type but I never like only planting one of a variety in case something happens to it.
