Transplanting Leeks

Darn it! Me too - I transplanted all my leeks last weekend. However I had already used all my newspaper and clippings on my potatoes anyway. I shall remember this for next time. Plus I need to read more newspapers...
I found grass clippings alone suppressed weeds magnificently on the over-wintering onion bed - I applied it twice and it's only just disappeared (although the moss in the clippings has remained as a minimulch). Nary a weed in sight. Very impressed.Proud member of the Nutters Club.
