Was up on the plot at 6.45 this morning - a couple of plots on the west side were white over (oof - some of them had frenchies in that didn't look that happy this morning!).

My plot seemed fine - glad I covered the corn though

It was about 2c here, but banged with flue stack in bed couldn't really go down to fleece everything in the Polytunell, have frenchis, peps, toms, runners and aubergines in there, are we all doomed? Looked this morning and they all look the same as yesterday with no visible damage.

Flu as in influenza, am I looking at much smaller crops with this crazy low night temperatures? I still have four toms inside the house as backup, hopefully will not need them.

The water bottles suppose to release heat during the night, it works but fleecing is on the cards for the next night (3c according to accuweather).

Would frost damage show on runner beans and peas straight away? I removed the fleece about an hour ago and they all look ok....to be honest I have no idea what I'm meant to be looking for anyway.
