  • Spots on potato tuber leaves

    Hi there im new to the site my names steve

    I have 2 diffrent crops of potatos in the green house

    Been in there now for around 8 weeks maybe 9

    Today i noticed the leaves have bubbly yellow spots on and some curling up

    Any idea on what this is

    Don't know where you are, but maybe too warm and wet in the greenhouse?

          I take it their in containers? If so have you fed them at all and if so what with.

            Hi Colin

            There in a 3 ft deep bed built into the green house

            No i havent fed them the soil did have blood fish and bone etc put in

            They where all healthy intill i checked today other than them going a little to high

              In that case it may be bad news, it could be a virus. Have you noticed any aphids about at all.

                      Arran pilot is a first early and supposedly disease resistant.

                      You will only be looking at about 10/12 weeks in the ground before harvest. At this stage I would give them a high potash feed (Tomorite) and see how they go. Thers a good chance you will still get a harvest.

                          This virus can also come with the seed potatoes where did you get your seed?
