I guess its one of them "buy for the point of it" gadgets rather than useful, but I guess as has been pointed out, if it was made on a better/cheaper scale, it could have its uses.Chilli Grower

I don't think an app is going to tell you how to keep a plant alive just yet. There are so many variables, type of plant and therefore watering/feeding needs, that a temperature and water sensor isn't going to help much apart from with those.
In essence, they're asking you to pay 99 quid for a thermometer, and a virtual finger and 99 quid won't turn you into a gardener no matter how much you want to be one.

One of my problems with using technology to reduce the impact of growing on resources is:
How much resource did it take to create the technology?
And how much impact with said technology have when its discarded?
Actually that's two problems, but you get the idea....If the river hasn't reached the top of your step, DON'T PANIC!
