I know using grass cilppings as a mulch is good but does it matter if its a bit silmerly?? I forgot I had them and just used some on my parsnips bed to help with watering etc. Now Im worried its going to kill them off!!! Thank's.

it'll be fine, just dont cover them, and don't put it too deep

Regular little layers shouldn't get hot - or use only dried grass clippings.Comment

Yep, I have grass clippings round the onions but make sure you remove any dandilions......apparently they still seed even when cut.........
