Thanks for the advice. They are actually looking quite healthy now. The blowaway is almost blown away though The wind here is crazy - I've never known anything quite like it before - I got home from work to find that it had partially come apart. When trying to put it together again, one of the plastic connectors snapped in 2 so now it really is broken. I can only attach one side of it to something - there is nothing the other side to secure it to - so it is taking quite a beating with the wind and is constantly trying to take off. It's only the fact that it's secured on one side that is keeping it on the ground. I don't think it's going to last much longer. There is a limit to what I can do until the wind dies down as everytime I go outside the plastic on the greenhouse flaps around in the wind, my hair is all over the place, I need to keep bags of compost on the bottom frame of the greenhouse to stop it taking off completely.... It really is crazy weather here and if my tomatoes can survive this they can surely survive anything! Is it like this everywhere? I stopped by at B&Q on my way home from work and at least half the plants in the garden centre were blown over.
I found some growbag trays in B&Q today but they were £8.98 each and I'm not spending that much on a tray (esp in B&Q) so will have to have a rethink on that. I really want to stand them on something so that I can water from the bottom but I guess individual trays will cost even more.
