Butternut squash advice please

Hello,
Newbie on here, I'm a keen but novice grower, hoping someone would give a little advice please on where best to plant my Butternut squash? Inside greenhouse or outside? How best to look after it?
I have limited space in a small greenhouse and a small area where I have 2 mini greenhouses and room for a few pots, both south facing.

I only managed to germinate the one Butternut squash and want to give it the best chance of growing. I've had no problems growing tomatoes, peas and Cucumbers, but last year I tried growing a Butternut squash, a Courgette and a pepper, all looked more like limp lettuce and did not grow very well. This year too many peppers and courgettes growing well and not enough room.

Butternuts need a long hot summer. We're doing OK so far, but if it turns cool & wet in August again, they'll suffer

I tried them but now don't bother for following reasons ..

1) You can buy them relatively cheaply in the shops
2) The amount of greenhouse space they take
3) The small amount of fruits you get

But if you really want to try, as I know people do, then by all means carry on.

With limited greenhouse and garden space I only grow things that give a good return , toms, french beans , lettuce cucumber courgettes etc.
I only grow cucumbers outside in a frame.

I do have a couple of rows of spuds. This contravenes my policy but what the hell we love new spuds.

I'm putting all my squashes out today, some in car tyres, some in the ground, some in grow beds. I only have a little stayput so there's not enough room for a squash in there, it'll be full of chillies and the odd tomato. Sorry, that's not much help to you.

What sort of size are yours? Im not sure wether to put mine out or not.

Mine went out, some with 0 sets of true leaves (just starting to show), some with 1, 2 and 3 sets of true leaves

Mine is still sat in the comfort of the conservatory with only three leafs. Thank you for the advice, given me a few ideas where is best to squeeze it in the garden.
