Getting a greenhouse tomorrow, now I need help growing my plants in it.

This is the greenhouse I will be getting tomorrow.

I currently now have in my garden on my patio and a hand made shelving unit the following plants.

1x medium trough containing 3 broad bean plants
8x Sweet Pepper plants in 10-12 inch pots.
1x grow bag with a marrow and Brussel sprout plant in
1X growbag with 2 strawberries in
1x sunflower for my son
3x 10-12 inch pots with spring onions in them.
10 Tomatoes of various types, some cherry some normal in small pots at present.
2x troughs of small lettuce
1x trough of Cauliflower
1x plastic tray of rocket( seems to be very thin stemmed still and getting top heavy.)
1X trough divided into two section one half with radish and the other beetroot
1x pot with a few beetroot in.
1x large pot with brussel sprout plant in
1x Trough of spring onions. Germinating atm.

Can anyone with a spare moment tell me what should go where, what should get the most sun, what should get watered more or less etc?

I dont want to overwater things, as at present I find the soil is always damp and gets humid ( I read somewhere about that being perfect for funguses?) wont a greenhouse make it even more humid?

The only things that really need to go in your greenhouse are the tomatoes and peppers.

Tomato, peppers and cucumbers should take centre stage in greenhouses and such. Everything else can wait their turn =p

The soil doesn't need to be permanently damp. The way I teach the school children to water:

- lift the container. Does it feel heavy or light for its size? If light, it needs water
- look at the soil. Does it look dry or damp? If damp, no need for more water

Ok thanks. Some of my plant troughs and pots seem permanently damp, even throughout a hot day with not a single cloud like today. Btw anyone know what this white blotchy stain is on some of my pepper leaves? Looks like a mildewy kind of thing.

Take a photo. Could simply be where water has been left on the leaf and the sun has burnt it. Or even simple sun scald due to the high UV's this week

One of the leaves has now gone really white and dry and crumbled. Same with a tomato leaf on one of my plants. Is this that thing called 'wind burn'? If so what can you do about it? Do I need to pinch the dead leaves off?

Aye that's it. That or scald.
Yeah, simply cut off the whole leaf node it's attached to. New top growth makes up for this =)

Should plants not really be left out in direct sun for long periods then? Today I noticed 2 of my toms had white crispy leaves and 2 pepper leaves had completely withered and gone white.

The plants just weren't used to it. Look at the extreme weather change we had in the space of a day. Cloudy, barely 15 degrees and rain after rain to BOOM! sun, 25+ degrees and no clouds at all. Nothing to be worried about really, the plants will adapt after a while

I've read tomatoes should be in direct sunlight. From the sounds of it, I've been misinformed? I thought peppers were the same. What is the benefit of them being in the greenhouse?

The heat. A good greenhouse can be 10-20 degrees warmer than outside. My unheated one has been around 40 degrees all week as opposed to 26 outside.

The same thing happens to plants as happens to us: we spend months indoors covered in protective layers, then the sun comes out and we plonk ourselves in the middle of the patio all day long ... and we burn

Got greenhouse up today with a friends help, but he decided to take over and ended up putting all my plants in the greenhouse.

Are there any of the plants I listed that can actually be harmed by being in there? Should the door be unzipped even at night? or a little gap left?
