Oh my goodness you have given me the giggles... your dogs were probably very confused with the constant gaseous explosions!

I don't think the dogs noticed really - they were the silent but deadly type of emissions!!

Not growing lettuce because i get given so many due to other people having a glut o them. I don't grow raddish either for the same reasons. I have chosen not to grow sprouts this year due to still having 4 massive bags o them left in the freezer to get through. I am sulking with the carrots too due to poor germination rates in the last two years. I am letting the few from last year go to seed so I get fresh seed . I am sure that i will grow some late ones though.
Still have 4 bags of parsnips left in freezer so I am getting fresh seed from the few left in the ground.
I am growing extra beans an leeks though because we can eat them faster than I can produce them an extra sweetcorn too.

Lettuce - yuck - I'd rather have some nice crisp raw cabbage leaves in a salad
globe artichokes, though if I had space I'd grow them just 'cos they make spectacular flowers
all the leaf beets like chard etc - too much oxalic acid for me.

            Endless wonder.

I just don't get courgettes or broad beans at all, horrible nasty things... Luckily no one in my house likes them either, so I have no requirement to grow them!

Surprised at how many posters don't like radish though. I love them along with just about all other veg and salad.

I like all veg so its only lack of space that stops me from growing more.

Same as Bren said. I'd love to grow a bit of everything but just don't have the space for it! I have a good sized garden but a terrible use of space, only having 5 or so beds. SO right now I just grow what I enjoy and is the funnest challenge for me with the greatest reward =)

I love Jerusalem Artichokes, but yes, they well deserve their nickname.... Apparently the way to enjoy them without the side effects is to eat a very little at first and build up to the JA soup.

By the time I had this tip last year, it was too late, but gonna try it this year!

I don't grow beetroot cos it just doesn't get eaten.

Kohlrabi (have I spelled that right?) - what a waste of space. Plot neighbour advised me to mash it with butter and add plenty of black pepper. Then it tastes of .... butter and black pepper .... may as well eat those on their own and save the hassle of growing the damn vegetable. I've never tried globe artichokes - they are going to be my experiment for next year.

I slice it into matchsticks and saute it in butter until it starts going golden and caramelly. Sweet and juicy and tastes rather like calabrese stems (which I also love). *nom nom nom*

I hate raw celery but I'm growing it this year to see if it really does make a difference to stocks etc - I like Cajun food but didn't realise celery was a main ingredient.

Also growing celeriac - just because I can.
