Easy canes and string all round

Mine tried forking around, but I got the cane out and gave it some corporal punishment. It's behaving itself now, But I'm keeping my beady eye on it for any misbehaviour

I'm just very relieved not to be one of your tomatoes, Thelma!

I have some Moneymaker that have forked. Just took off the one that didn't have buds on it and stuck em in some compost. Seem to be doing ok.

are the buds at the top, or are the forks going to grow as cordons with trusses all the way up the stem?

My forked bits are growing up as high as the plants that haven't forked. BUT the Forked bits have forked again further up the stems, so they have double forked, each bit has flower buds. Fascinating!
I may have said this before, but its the first time I've had a forker! Yet another of life's must-have experiences has been achieved!

There's something weird going on with toms this year cos it's not just one variety that's doing it ...
