I have one of these in my veggie plot and its growing great guns (yay me!). Its produced 2 gorgeous big female flowers and no males so far. But the baby courgettes behind the flowers seem to be changing colour? Going darker green and getting slightly fatter. They cant have been pollinated cos theres no male flowers to use, or have they pollinated and i'll be drowning on courgettes very soon?

The immature unpollinated courgettes just shrivel up when they are quite tiny. I tend to take them off and also pinch out most of the male flowers to encourage female ones. Dark green and fatter sounds promising. And it is quite amazing how quickly courgettes grow. Enjoy!A weed is a plant that has mastered every survival skill except for learning how to grow in rows
