help what should i do my overwintered onions are bolting i have lost all my carrots to they bolted dont know were i am going wrong

Its been a very wierd year so far...
Suggest lack of water? My spinnach has bolted at about 4cm high, and some of my salad leaves bolted before they'd germinated (well, slight exageration).
i think the onions may still be edible, there was another thread about this somewhere...If the river hasn't reached the top of your step, DON'T PANIC!

Mine have been throwing up flower stalks but I've jut been breaking them off ........not lifted any of them yet tho' ......I'll probably slice and freeze them .S*d the housework I have a lottie to dig

Carrots are biennial ~ if you sow them one year, they will bolt (flower and go to seed) in the following year.
