I'm sure most (if not all) the seasoned growers can remember the excitement and satisfaction that accompanied the first bountiful bed of produce (I sure can!).
Enjoy the feeling for a while...then carry on nursing the rest of your veg along

Funny you should say that Matt, the slugs haven't touched my Little Gem either, but they've eaten my brassica seedlings, twice! hmm they are starting to nibble my brassicas too - maybe they've moved on from your bassica bed to mine - i wonder if they got on the buses for free!
