Tomatoes 2010/2011

For the past two years my Super Mamonde Tomatoes have suffered from a black blotch on about 60% of the crop.
Can this be corrected by feeding or is it a fungal/viral thing?
Any suggestions????

where's the blotch? underneath? if it is, it's blossom end rot, caused by uneven watering, or lack of calcium. Beefsteak tomatoes are more prone to it than others too.

What feed has a high calcium content
I normally use a basic tomato feed in solution.

Grrr. Mobile phone won't let me insert any carriage returns!!! Never mind... Blossom end rot (which is indeed the likely problem) is not typically about a lack of calcium as such, but that irregular and/or insufficient watering prevents the plant from being able to take up what is available. Some form of automated watering system helps in this regard... JV

Simple rule for this one never let the compost dry out whilst the fruit is swelling.
