strange pea markings

My peas have been in for a few weeks and now and are growing nicely but on close inspection of the leaves I've noticed some strange colouration running along from the central veins - it's almost as if they're becoming variegated with a pale green/cream colouration. Is this a sign that they're deficient in something?
I only took the plot on in Jan and all the beds are new, based on heavy clay which has been deep dug and had various organic matter dug in - in the case of the peas it's had rotted straw and spent mushroom compost. As the plot is so new I haven't got any compost yet (big pile "cooking" though ) I watered them today with a nettle tea to give them a feed. Not sure if this would help in this case.

Any suggestions please?

Could possibly need feeding (which you have done) - could also be leaf miners (little bugs which live inside the leaves and eat the green tissue. They usually make little see-through tracks where they've been.

Thanks Rustlady, I did think it might be insects myself at first but the pattern is so precise the way it radiates out. Am I correct in thinking leaf miners would trail all over the place in a random manner? Lets hope the nettle feed works.

Yes, leaf miners make wiggly tracks, sometimes going round in circles. Is yours a difference in colour only, or a difference in leaf texture?

Nothing to be alarmed at SuzieP, my Mangetout 'Delicata' are doing the same, and they did last year too. It doesn't in any way affect the growing plant, or the harvest.
It's probably a bit similar to when Tomato plants start to flower, that they start to curl their leaves a bit.....
If anyone knows a definite 'why' to either of these, it would be lovely to know!

My Markana peas have similar colouring on their leaves - I am as sure as I can be (i.e. happens every time, no growth problems) that it's completely normal.

Mine look quite pretty, I reckon
