Like everyone else (nearly!!) I am on my second batch after losing the first to a variety of slugs and getting scorched in the greenhouse when I was on hols....
Second batch received a check when the bleedin cat decided to sleep on the modules, so am not hopeful either...will plant them out nevertheless in the hope we get a long late summer....
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

    ...utterly nutterly

I went and had a peek and the largerr corn havent yet come through so I covered them in a coupe of sheets of plastic to encourage germination.

I am hoping they have picked up the last two days (we have had some nice hot dry weather in Liverpool.

Am not holding me breath however !!!

My first lot are in the ground at the plot and about a foot tall. Planted another batch 3 weeks ago for No 2 son (he has got himself a little plot in a neighbour's garden) and not a sausage - nothing germinated. Planted some more earlier in the week in the vain hope that these will germinate! I've just read the advice elsewhere on this site and am going to move the sweetcorn into the spare bedroom - should be warm enough in there for them to germinate. Just remembered that the other lot were in greenhouse in April when the weather was so lovely.

Happy to see that my MiniPop is germinated under the makeshift cover:

Be hardened off over the next week or so these then thinned as I planted two per station.
